Two Rivers

Keynsham

Proposals are being brought forward for Two Rivers Primary, a new school within the Hygge Park development located off the A4 Bath Road in Keynsham.

ISG, Wellsway Multi-Academy Trust and the Department for Education would like to consult with local neighbours, stakeholders and the wider public about the plans ahead of submitting a full planning application to Bath and North East Somerset Council early in 2021.

The new Church of England school will be a two-form entry (60 places in each year group) primary school for 420 pupils aged between 4 and 11 years old. It will be operated by Wellsway Multi-Academy Trust and is scheduled to open in September 2022.  The school is currently based in purpose-built temporary accommodation on the Wellsway campus of schools (Wellsway School, IKB Academy, Chandag Infants and Chandag Juniors).

Sustainability is a key priority for Bath and North East Somerset Council (BANES), as well as the trust. The school will meet a high level of sustainability standards, assisted by a substantial financial contribution from BANES, to deliver Passivhaus Plus accreditation. Some of the school’s facilities, including the outdoor multi-use games area, hall and studio, will be available for local community use and for hire outside school hours.

We welcome your feedback on these proposals. You can complete a feedback form online or request a paper copy by emailing info@abc-pr.co.uk or calling 0117 977 2002
